Life before Google

This is my absolute favourite of the Chuck & Beans comics. Before the internet we had libraries with encyclopedias, newspapers and books and sometimes even helpful librarians but even so finding something out took a lot of effort.

I love technology.

Love the cartoon, so true.

Are you on Google+, FH? I couldn't find you there.

I'm on Google+ but I had to use my "real name" i.e. the one on my driving licence! So I'm Gina Langridge over there.

Pity. Fairyhedgehog is so much more fun!

I'd die (oh ok, maybe not literally! LOL!) without the internet but can do without other stuff like mobile phones and kindles. For now anyway! Ahem! Take care

You don't come up when I put in Gina Langridge, either - is it a glitch?

There still are libraries with helpful barbarians for those times you don't know quite how to ask the question... the traditional way still has it's uses, libraries - and their staff - are still valuable resources.

Kitty, no mobile phone? How do you manage? I use mine as a Kindle too!

Lexi, as it's still in beta there are bugs. I keep trying to get an invite to one of my friends and it's yet to arrive.

Richard, this is true, and you can get more in-depth answers at a library. But for a quick "what's on this weekend" you can't beat Google.

Simon, glad you liked it.

Whirl, in my case the answer was "badly".

Gary, hehe!
