Is this something you'll be doing regularly? The company I worked for adopted a school near its HQ and allowed "volunteer time" to employees to go an work with students having difficulty reading. It was quite rewarding (I can take children in small doses in a supervised environment). I stopped when I moved and started working 100% from home, a 1.5 hour drive away. It was quite rewarding -- good for the soul!
See what happens when I walk away from the computer in the middle of a comment and then don't use preview to proofread! Awwk. Embarrassed by the writing but the sentiment is real!
Phoenix, I'm hoping to go in weekly after the school holidays finish. I used to work in a primary school as a counsellor and counselling manager and I really loved it. I'll have to find out what jobs are around.
And we could really do with an edit button on our comments, not for the sake of the readers but it's horrible to post a comment and realise it's not how you want it to be.

That's neat, Fairy. I always enjoyed teaching kids when I taught piano. Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks, Stacy!
