Excellent! Well done. :) You know I just found out you were doing NaNo via the London Forums on NaNoWrIMo, as am hoping to engage myself in it this year too. Enjoy :) (PS-My nickname is smoothestlady on NaNoWriMo)
It was surprisingly easy as I'd been doing a lot of planning: 2000 words in an hour and a half. But I hadn't reckoned with the CFS backlash and I needed two hours in bed to recover! Still, so far so good.
Well done you! I'm sending the boys off to school, and then I'm going to knock out my word count for the day. Hahaha. I'll still be on word two at ten this evening, then I will get it done
Whirl, I saw the word "crashing" and thought "that's right"!
jj, I may need to do that. I was so rearing to go today after holding back for a month! But pacing myself has got to be key. That and a morning cup of tea!

Nap reward = awesome (though the reason = blergh)
Sarah, you're absolutely right! And thank you for the yay!
Blimey that is brilliant! What a fab way to start the challenge - go you, go you! :)
Yay! Hope you've recuperated well enough to get some more done. You're off to a blazing start!
Great start — here's to you crashing through the 10,000 barrier by the weekend...
Whoo hoo!
(Don't forget to pace yourself. You can write in smaller chunks during the day too. Keep going!)
Jayne and LTH, thank you!

Don't beat yourself up about needing sleep, kiddo.
Thanks, stacy. I'm just wondering how to play it so I can get through the month intact!
