jjdebenedictis has had a wonderful idea: to post a song from your childhood that makes you happy. Hers is here. I immediately thought of this song:
Meanwhile, some friends who met in the blogosphere in 2008 are posting voice posts from that time, or new ones in honour of that time.
I know I've missed some, so please comment and I'll add you to the list.

From my (slightly more recent) childhood... I grew up on a mixture of jazz and prog rock...
You may wish to skin up (for old time's sake) as you enjoy a little bit of Focus...

Richard, that sounds oddly familiar but I'm not sure I actually recognise it. I was eighteen in 72, and that was the year I went off to France as au pair. I maybe just wasn't around!
Nice, upbeat music.
Not only do I remember that, but I remember playing it on the piano. I might post my choice later.
Miriam, I'm impressed you could play it on the piano! I'll look forward to seeing your choice. I'm so glad Jen thought of this!
Great song!!! Yay!!!!! I love Jennifer Eccles (wolf whistles!)!!!!
:-) Take care

I didn't play it all that well!
I have posted my choice on my blog.
Kitty, glad you like it so much!
Miriam, I'll be right over to see what you've chosen.
I LOVE the Hollies!!!!!!!!! I used to listen to them on oldies show when I was much younger. Ah, nostalgia....getting lost now....
TWC, I'm so glad you like it! I'm not sure I know what else they did.
Oh, that is a happy song! *chair-dances*
jj, chair-dancing is so cool!
Mine's up here!
Kate, and very bouncy it is too!
An interesting choice, indeedy :o)
And I have put up a voice post in honor of how much fun we USED to have:

Off now to find a chair that won't turn down my invitation to dance...
Phoenix, I must go and listen to your voice post as soon as our visitors have gone!
Who needs a chair?

It's sad and funny both at once...
Richard, that really is an old one! Takes me back more than a bit.
Nice song.
Thanks, flutietootie. Nice name! I've popped across to your blogs and I love your photography. I'm not sure how you manage to work, take photographs and look after your sister. It must be a very busy life.
