The very talented jjdebenedictis has drawn a picture all for me! It's got a cat and a robot in it and it's really cute. You'll have to pop over there to see it; it's at the end of this post.
Thank you, jj! You're the best!

Magic could do with one of those - he might let us have five minute's peace then.
I shall repeat here what I said there (as I'm feeling rather lazy right now):
That is not affection that is perfectly captured in the cat. It is cat manipulation. And only cats will be able to use their cat manipulation powers to get robots to do their bidding as easily as they get humans to.
I really agree with Phoenix's insight. We have a rescue cat - a gorgeous calico tripod who lost her front right leg at 2 1/2 months and turned 1 yr. around early July-everyone thinks she must have lost her chutzpuh, or zest, or mobility with the amputation. WRONG!!!
She works every asset at her disposal to manipulate and cajole all in range to do her bidding. Heck, she'd make that robot get all gooey inside. 'Cuz. She's. Just. That. Good.
No matter that, I think it's lovely that someone made a picture for you. High praise & admiration for you. You deserve it.

Sophie, your rescue cat sounds amazingly resourceful! She'd definitely fit right into jj's picture!
And thanks for the kind words.
