Time warp
This morning in the UK we skipped straight past 1am and went to 2am instead. I'm quite glad because I've been waking up earlier and earlier with the light, but I suspect that it will still take some adjusting to.
And today is my Beloved's birthday! We're booked to go for lunch with the family at the Anchor, Pyrford Lock (see above). At 12 noon. That's 11am yesterday's time.
I do like an early lunch but this is going to be more like a late breakfast!

Not quite as good as singing it aloud, I know — but have fun on that raft thing, if you're going sailing.
As for the light — wahoo.
Whirl, he says, "Thank you very much. When you get to my age you lose count."
We won't be on the barge, just in the pub. I think the idea is to go for a walk afterwards but as I plan to eat a huge pudding I'm not sure if that will happen.
I want my hour back!
Anyway!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR BELOVED!
and what an utterly romantic setting! Looks just a perfect place for a Sunday Birthday lunch.
May this day be full of pressies and sunshine, good food, good beer and a big pudding. For Two!
Awwwww!
Have a lovely day!!!!! LOL! My word verification is "dessort"
Take care
x
Thanks for all your good wishes, Kitty! And what an appropriate word verification.
I always try to set the clocks forward when I'm already at work.
Happy birthday to your beloved.
I agree with Old Kitty. What a darling place to have lunch. You'll be eating outside? Under the umbrella?
You have fun. Enjoy your pudding.
David, that's a good plan!
Wings, we ate inside but we did have fun. Thank you!
A Very Happy Birthday to your other half. Looks like an idyllic place for a birthday lunch.
The clocks went forward here two weeks ago and I still haven't caught up with my lost hour. Who was the bright spark that thought of this anyway??
Hope you got your big dessort pudding.
Thanks, Ann. The dessert (a chocolate brownie) was my first indulgence in weeks and it really wasn't worth it! I enjoyed the side salad most!
Happy Birthday to your hubby and my mom! Wonderful day to be born apparently. Wife's father's was yesterday. Sis-In-Law's mother's and step-father's are right around here somewhere, too. It's an Aries overload.
Glad you enjoyed the celebration, but it's a bummer about the brownie. If I'm indulging in extra calories and fat, I want it to be damn good.
Sarah, thanks for your good wishes for my husband and I send mine to your Mum!
That's exactly right about the brownie. When I'm mostly trying to be good I only want the tastiest treats for those naughty moments.
hope you had the good weather we managed today!
Thanks, Kevin. Yes, we did!
Hey,
Happy B'day to your Beloved! That's a gorgeous pic - bet you all had a wonderful time!
Happy Birthday, Beloved!
HIPY PAPY BTHUTHDTH THUTHDA BTHUTHDY to him, with love from me and WOL. And a very happy unbirthday to you, Fairy! And another tomorrow, just in case you got this yesterday. I am not sure how these time zones work across time warps.
Robin, thank you, we did have a good time.
stacy, thank you on his behalf!
Peter, thank you. It's my birthday soon, too. That's what happens with time warps.
I'm passing all your good wishes on to him.
Hope your hubby had a good Birthday - happiness belatedly!
The clock change always screws me up a little... okay, that's a lie, when we set them back an hour in the fall, I love the extra sleep time :-)
Thanks, Merry. I'll pass your good wishes on.
I actually prefer putting the clocks forward because I hate the dark evenings, even though it does mean getting up earlier.
