Happy Birthday to Me!

In honour of my birthday I'm going to sing a little song:

Squashed tomato and pea
Soup is not nice like cake is,

I'm sure I can do better than that.

I'm a little hedgehog short and stout,
Here's my handle, here's my spout-

No that can't be right. The things that come to you at five o'clock in the morning.

Anyway, it's my birthday and I intend to have a happy day! I've got a new game to play on my laptop (Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove) and some smellies in an adorable cute little bag. I don't have anything I have to do so I shall play on the laptop, crochet, and have fun.

Happy Birthday Ello!

Ello is running a competition for her birthday over at Hello Ello 2. It's an unusual contest because the prize is Asian food and even if you don't want to enter you might be interested to see and read about the dried squid and other goodies that are on offer.

Oh, and you might want to wish Ello a happy birthday, seeing that she's stuck in the house with the builders tearing it apart then has to go off and do a full day's work. On her birthday. Oh dear.

Time warp

This morning in the UK we skipped straight past 1am and went to 2am instead. I'm quite glad because I've been waking up earlier and earlier with the light, but I suspect that it will still take some adjusting to.

And today is my Beloved's birthday! We're booked to go for lunch with the family at the Anchor, Pyrford Lock (see above). At 12 noon. That's 11am yesterday's time.

I do like an early lunch but this is going to be more like a late breakfast!

It's my birthday!

My husband's birthday was on Saturday so we had a meal out yesterday with the family to celebrate.

Today, I'm doing as little as possible. I plan to eat food I haven't cooked and watch Serenity, if we can find the DVD.
