Rabbit hole day January 27th

Last year several of us celebrated Rabbit Hole Day (Lewis Carroll's birthday) by writing strange and unusual posts. More so than usual, I mean.

I think I may have gone overboard; certainly my post Star Struck left many readers slightly bemused.

I'm not sure how many other bloggers are going to be doing it this year, although it is in the Geeklet calendar, but we don't have to wait for anyone else to join in to have fun.
Let's all fall down the Rabbit Hole for 24 hours and see what's there. It will be beautiful.
So, are you in? If you are, let us know in the comments here and we'll visit you on the 27th. We have only four days to prepare a post because I forgot to post this earlier but I'm sure we can all come up with something.

Hi

Your Star Struck's hilarious! I don't think I could top that.

Oh but I do like a challenge and I'd try anything new, me.

May I try to do this?

thank you

Kitty, I'll look forward to seeing what you come up with!

I remember that! Thank you for the reminder.

Oh, and your insight into my birth sign was particularly poignant: Enjoy your day while other, more talented people are working their nuts off trying to make a living.

Haha!

If I posted something weird at Our Local I doubt anybody would notice the difference... *blushes*

So it's going to have to be even weirder than that. :-)

fairyhedgehog said...

Bevie, it was fiction. As horoscopes always are.

Richard, I have confidence in you that you can manage seriously weird.

If I can think of some way of topping last year's Dutch post I'll do it!

I sort of remember this and sort of remember posting early. 4 days? Hm. Will see what I can do. I sort of remember what I did last time.

Has anyone seen my brain?

Kate said...

I just read Star Struck - that's brilliant! Sooo funny!

Sarah Laurenson said...

OK. I've got something up and set to post - on the right day. Not very far down that rabbit hole though. I think my shoulders didn't fit.

Congrats on the NaNo win! Just saw your badge. That's awesome.

(Have I said that before? Geez. Not having a brain is harder than I thought it would be. So many people make it look easy.)

fairyhedgehog said...

McK, that is going to be hard to beat!

Sarah, Yup, you were first last year! I look forward to seeing what you've come up with this time. And thanks for the congrats. (I manage perfectly well with no discernible brain.)

Kate, thank you!

Sarah, I'm sure I just saw your brain run past me right here...

Last year was fun. Count me in, if I can. I'm traveling for work this whole week and will be pretty busy.

I had my own rabbit hole day last week with the whole catalytic converter thing. Curiouser and curiouser.

fairyhedgehog said...

pjd, I'm glad you can play too. The catalytic converter theft was dreadful. I hope you're over the shock of it now.

I've been openly pagan for the last 30 years or so, so this latest revelation will come as something of a shock to those who know me...

Don't navigate away from that thread if you are any kind of prude, the forum is unmoderated and contains 'adult humour' among other things your boss won't like...

I've posted a new poem for Rabbit Hole Day. I know I'm 10 minutes early for California, but it's already the 27th in Jolly Ole England, whence mister Dodgson hails.

I think I still like last year's poem a little better (the first time always holds a special place in your heart), but I kinda like this one too.

Curiouser and curiouser.

verification word: ressusl
Sounds like a word I should have found a use for in my poem.

Hi Peter, I had already linked to your blog. Now it's up, I'll make the link direct to your post. Great!

Richard, I've added your comment to the list of links as a footnote.
