Why I'm not voting

I'm not voting because we English don't get to vote in American elections.

We follow it closely and the outcome affects us but we don't get to choose. It can be frustrating.

I'm not going to stay up to listen to results. I'll hear enough about it in the morning.

Obama won - by a lot (as far as the elctoral votes are concerned). And McCain made a very amazing concession speech. He's back to his 'normal' self and urging everyone to support Obama in his presidency.

I'm glad. He seems to me to be the better candidate.

From the point of view of Prop 8, his opposition may be lukewarm but at least he opposes it.
