And I do think there's an immediacy about the descriptions that is somehow more right there. Maybe just because it's impossible not to envision the scene complete with someone perched precariously, writing in a notebook.
FHH's description is right right - my blog design is the "notebook edges and desk" with a blank spot for the page. Then I scan the page in my notebook and upload the image which is placed over that blank space.
I probably shouldn't admit this but I end up re-writing posts and I still have scribbles! I actually have five versions of one post in my notebook before I was finally happy.

As far as I know, Sylvia has a template set up to give her website its cool look.
Presumably, for each post she scans in her writing like I did. It's easy to upload the scanned picture in Blogger. Et voila!
