Thanks for that link - all so horribly true! Guess the best way to avoid being reincarnated into a sponge is to just enjoy the blogging experience and not fret about followers so much! :-)

Scarlet, the reason I have the followers widget is to make it easy for folk to subscribe. It's not at all because I obsessively check to see how many people are following me, no sirree!
