It must be spring
The weather's turned cold and rainy here and I've had to go back to wearing a coat and shoes. But it must be spring, because look at the ducklings on our local pond! There were about ten of them. One kept rushing off on its own and being chased by the geese. It looked so cute skimming across the water with its feet going full pelt like it was on a pedalo.

Every time I see ducks I think of "Bull Durham", when Tim Robbins tells Susan Sarandon that she's "cute".
Cute! Baby ducks are cute! I don't want to be cute.
I love that scene.
Sorry to wreck the mood.
You're not wrecking anything, Wings!
Ahhhh! It has turned chilly here too. But the ducklings are just too adorable.
Ann, they are sweet! The photo doesn't do them justice.
I ADORE ducklings. I want to pick them up and take them all home. Typically, I restrain.
So far.
SO CUTE!
LTH, restraint is possibly safest. I don't think they're house trained.
Our weather is about to do the same, but today was lovely.
Your photo makes for happy.
Oh lord this weather is just mad!
I've got my heating up again.
I'm wearing four jumpers.
I am cold!
I want to wear my sandals but can't!
But look at the lovely ducklings... awww they are lovely - bad geese for chasing the little one, poor thing!
Take care

Kitty, the weather doesn't seem set to improve any time soon so we need to comfort ourselves with cuteness!
The thing I love about ducklings as young as that is the way they can run across the surface of the water barely touching it... I wish I could do that!
Richard, it's amazing!
I love ducklings. I fear that we're not going to get any on our village pond this year as none have materialised so far. I think that the grown ups were far too busy pestering customers sitting outside the pub for scraps to be bothered laying eggs.
I've been forced into woolies and winter shoes again too. I hope this cold spell is only temporary.
Jane, we have sunshine today and I'm back in sandals so there is hope!
What a shame if you don't get any ducklings this year. They're so sweet.
