A picture is worth a thousand words

This is my novel at 28,000 words.

It's a pretty picture, anyway.

I do hope this was meant to inspire good feelings. Even laughter. Because that was my reaction. It's like looking at all of the pieces of a car, spread out over a garage floor. You know if you can put the pieces together properly you'll have something quite fantastic.

The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

It's looking good. I'd try this with my own WIP but it's too full of obscenities.

Is the main character called Claire by any chance?!

Bevie, I like that image of the car all in pieces. Sadly the actual manuscript is not much better.

Whirl, we're all grownups here!

Scarlet, do you read tarot cards or tea leaves in your spare time? That was uncanny!

How did you do this? It's gorgeous word stuff.

Your novel is very pretty!

This is great!

OK, I did one too.

Sylvia's

The really annoying thing is that SOPHIE IS NOT A MAIN CHARACTER and she really needs to back off. *argh*

Robin, you go here: http://www.wordle.net and cut and paste your novel in.

Jane, thank you! It is very pretty and has a great word count. It's best not to actually read it though.

sylvia, I like yours too. Sophie really needs to back off if she's not a main character, and did you notice how often we both had 'back' too?

He walked back. He turned back to face her. She gave the flowers back. ARGH

Actually, at least things like that are not so hard to fix. Compared to my knot of a plot, that is.

Am I the only one reading a narrative in the Wordle?

I'm afraid to do mine. Ignorance is bliss - in the first draft, anyway. In fact, I'm saving every NaNo writing session to its own file so I'm not even tempted to go back and read the previous work. I can wait until December to be horrified.

sylvia, I keep telling myself I'll sort it all out in revision. I'm just hoping I can make myself revise it! Last year's offering is still languishing.

Kevin, I'd like to know what the narrative is you're seeing. It may be better than the story I'm writing.

Kate, that's a level of discipline beyond what I can manage! Mind you, I haven't gone back to read much because there isn't time.
