Oh yes. And the folks abroad don't believe that we're in the midst of the longest October on record; they just think we're needy Englishmen craving sympathy.
Hoorah! The hedgerows are asnuffle once more with hog!
Sounds a bit like my recent holiday experience — two weeks of more or less unbroken sunshine followed by an August boasting a ranking of 7th in the 'daylight hours, least recorded' table.
Looks nice where you were, though.
And there's a 5% chance we won't see snow north of the Isle Of Wight this weekend...
It was bliss. The top picture shows the pool outside the apartment the first week and the second picture is Capri, which we visited. The sea was glorious and so warm.
Hope the trip was nice, though. Looks lovely. Our summer has been wet here in Maine, but not too hot or too cold. Our first hard frost is supposed to occur this week, so I have to get all the potted herbs inside once again.
It's tough coming home from vacation when you haven't had enough of it yet. I had the pleasure of a month off a year anda half ago, including a 3-week road trip across the states (literally). San Diego to Northern Maine. And for the first time ever I was ready to get home. A very odd feeling.
Nice office! Neat is overrated, though. A tidy desk is the sign of someone who won't let their inner hair-letter-downer out to play.

I believe it, Kevin. Here in Chicago the joke is that we have eleven months of winter.
Welcome home, Fairyhedgehog! Great to have you back and blogging!
Thanks for the welcome back, all of you.

Hi WO!

It's not quite snowing here in Epsom. Yet.
Oh my, that looks beautiful! Your office looks cozy too, though :)
Welcome home! Even if you are doing the temperatures the wrong way round ;)
So glad you're back! Glad you had fun.
Thanks Robin and Sylvia.
(It's an old picture of the computer room and sadly it's not that tidy now.)

"Neat is overrated, though."
I agree. I don't have a problem with neatness I just avoid it.
