Cats

Here is Rufus auditioning unsuccessfully for the role of Ceiling Cat.

(This is Ceiling Cat.)

Here is Rufus playing Hide and Seek.

It's quite a shock when you're on your own in the kitchen making yourself a quiet cup of tea and there is suddenly a noise above your head and there's a cat staring down at you. But cats sleep wherever they want to.

This is Bonnie. At least she is civilised.

Rufus still looks his usual colour. This suggests to me, FH, that the tops of your cupboards, unlike...um...some others I've seen *cough* are not coated in a sort of thick grey felty accumulation of grime.

On a totally unrelated topic, when I've finished decorating the bedroom and hall, I'll be deep cleaning and painting my kitchen.

Cats are always so entertaining. I swear it's part of their plot to take over the world. Keep us distracted with their charm.

I like the third one of Rufus. He's just keeping an eye on whatever you're cooking.

Lexi, I have no explanation for the lack of dust seeing that I can't remember ever getting up there to clean! Unless Rufus removed the dust on a previous visit to cupboard-top-land.

Taryn, it works for me!

Polenth, I think he may have been wondering if I was in reach for him to bat at me with his paws. He likes doing that and he doesn't keep his claws in!

Cats really do make their own rules don't they?

They certainly do!

Thank you for visiting my blog. I think Rufus is a total charmer... and the image of him peering through the hole in the ceiling is priceless! :)

Jenny, if only he was Ceiling Cat. He still manages to look cute in some photos though.

I just showed Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar, Rufus and Bonnie. I just now have to remove the smudges from my computer screen. Such adorable cats and photos. Um, right, Penny?

Gary :)

Gary, I hope Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar was licking and not chewing! (Thanks for popping over to say hi; I know how busy your own blog keeps you!)

Thankfully, Penny was just licking. Thanks for realising it takes me an eternity to get around to so many sites. A mixed blessing that I get so much interaction. I still haven't commented back on my last post. Yikes!

Gary :)

It's always a joy to have you comment in here, Gary, but your blog is an extra special place and I know how much of your time it must take. I'm sure all your friends will understand if you aren't always able to visit our blogs or respond to our comments on yours: you are just so popular and it must be getting nearly impossible to keep up; I think the day is approaching when it just won't be humanly possible.

That's what comes of being an internet superstar. Speaking of which, give my love to Penny!

I'm sorry you miss your cats Ms Scarlet. They do have a way of worming themselves into your affections.

These are certainly some funny photos. We have that same space here, but my energy level wouldn't allow me to jump up there! Happy Friday the 13th and happy weekend!!

Hi orbit! Thank you for your kind words. I visited your blog and I see you are a cat of true distinction.

Hopefully Rufus doesn't become "dive bomb cat" when he decides to come down! Both your cats are beautiful.

fairyhedgehog said...

nitebyrd, that does describe rather accurately his method of descent!
