Yesterday I started with "It was the longest day she could remember" and got a space story. Today I wrote a story about the dangers of crocheted socks. I wonder what tomorrow's story will be.
jj, I could wear them as jewellery; what a good idea! Maybe not on this sock though, as there's only one of it. It was more a proof of concept than an accessory! Now I know the shape I need I may try to knit a more wearable sock, or even two!
Simon, there's a rumour among knitters that giving your boyfriend a handmade sweater is the kiss of death on the relationship. Can you imagine the effect of giving uncomfortable crocheted socks?
As someone who wears a range of thick wooly wonders on her feet when parading about the place in her PJs, I have to say I am a big fan of the bejewelled sock. It's not ideal for when you are also wearing shoes however but then again I only wear shoes when completely necessary.
Gawjus!
It's JaneyV here in my new disguise. I've reinvented myself.

Kitty, they're owl stitch markers. Very cute!
They're adorable! Those really make you wonder why no one has ever thought to add charms and jewellery to socks. I guess they wouldn't wash well...

What are the dangers of crocheted socks? I'm intrigued now.
