I was given some fantabulous wool for my birthday so I've been making these:
I know Richard takes wonderful photos and writtenwyrdd does amazing artwork when she's not potty-training her dogs. Sylvia flies and Stacy does yoga and composes music.
What do you like to do that isn't work?

Now those are very superior mittens. I love the colour combination.
I became a fan of fingerless gloves when I had my Saturday market stall in Covent Garden, as you don't need to take them off to wrap items or give change.
Read. Watch tv or movies. Shop. SLEEP :)
Those are awesome! They would come in handy when it's chilly and you need to type, way cool!
Lexi, you had a Covent Garden market stall? How amazing. What did you sell?
And yes, fingerless gloves are great for when you don't want to have to take them off for buying and selling!
TWC, sleeping sounds good! I tend to read more than I watch tv and I play on the internet even more!
When I was going into an office to work many years ago, I wore those type gloves even in the summer as they kept the A/C on high and I've a very low tolerance for cold. All the fingers look tricky for crocheting!
I mainly spend my non-writing/non-web-surfing time cleaning up after the beasties. Kind of feels the same, though, whether I'm shoveling it into a book or into my compost heap...
I love your fingerless gloves!! Very colourful and practical!!
Bake!! I bake!! Take care

Cooking or baking rank high for me too.
And as a new hobby, I'm going to start searching for fantabulous wool. Those gloves are wonderful!
Fairy, those are GORGEOUS. I can't crochet worth a damn. I am in awe.
Oh, those are awesome! And yes, they look really hard to do. Oi, with all the fiddly bits.
I used to rock climb for fun. Now I'm quite a boring person and I occasionally draw or knit when I'm not letting the internet slurp my life away in an entertaining fashion.
Phoenix, I hate it when they have air-conditioning turned up so high you have to dress for the cold! I always feel like it's missing the point! I bet the beasties take up a whole lot of time.
Kitty, I am so crap at baking! Unless you like your sponge cakes very flat.
Sylvia, you bake as well as flying? That's awesome. Although presumably you don't do them both at the same time. By the way, my Beloved has just had his third lesson for his PPL.
stacy, but you can compose music. To me that's much more awesome.
jj, oddly enough, with crochet the fingers aren't too fiddly and you can get everything the right size by trying it on as you go! Now rock climbing is really awesome. I didn't know you knit and draw - it would be nice to see some of the results!
Oh, that's great news about your Beloved! I'm glad he's taken the plunge. What airfield?
Baking is a lot less effort and a lot more efficient and a lot less money - although my waistline is reflecting my bad habits!
I think it's Redhill, I'll check if that's right or not. He's just working on his first exams and getting all stressed about them!
Baking is great if you can do it!
Oh, very fun colors! :-)
Cozy, I agree they really are fun!
Love those knitted handies!
My wife knitted me a pair for the office. Yours are gorgeous. I love the multi-colors.
I read. While at my mom's very recently, I read 4 books in 5 days. Haven't been able to do that in a long while.
I'm great at hanging shelves which double as slides.
Robin, thank you!
Sarah, four books in five days is a lot! I read a lot too but I tend to run out of books.
Whirl, neat trick!
Love the gloves!
I always wear fingerless gloves in winter.. and I have my eye on yours.
Sx
They look great. I started some a year ago and still only have one done. Every time I try to finish it to wear the weather gets better, so it remains unfinished.
Ann, thank you!
Scarlet, you can keep your thieving hands off! Oops, sorry. I should be kind to you while you're in exile!
Debbie, I'm not worrying about the weather, I'm just wearing them anyway!
Those are gorgeous, Prickles! I knit a bit and garden a bit. Or do little projects.
M(R)p, now I'm intrigued. I wonder what sort of little projects you do.
