We have a snow penguin in our back garden, made by my younger son and his girlfriend. At least they used pennies not pound coins on it, so we won't have to ring the police if it gets stolen, like this woman did.
Thanks for the link to the story of that woman who dialled the police. I don't know whether to laugh or cry really. I mean yeah - it can't be nice to have your snowman stolen but still... why use real money and teaspoons?? Oh but the call was hilarious!!!!
Love your snow penguin! I read that story about phoning the police and felt very depressed - these people give Kent a bad name (we're not all like that!) Take care x
Wow, you all really have some snow! My step-daughters are snow-happy in Wales as well. I've never been there, in 12 years, when there's been so much snow!
Old Kitty, I just couldn't believe that anyone would ring the police about a stolen snowman!
Clair, I didn't assume that it was all Kent people who'd do that! She must be one of a kind, surely.
Golden Eagle, thank you!
Robin, yes it's a real deep snowfall and set well in. We're just not geared up for it round here and it's causing havoc with transport, mail deliveries etc. Not what you need just at Christmas time!
Oh, I remember that story about the lady and her stolen snowman. Unbelievable she would waste the time of the police. It would be laughable if it wasn't such a stupid thing to do. I like the idea of creating a snow penguin. The way things are going, we will have plenty of opportunities to make all kinds of snow figures, this winter. I have bestowed an award upon your good self over at my shy and humble blog. You may do with it as you so wish. Stay warm. Kind wishes, Gary :-)
Gary, many thanks for the kind award! I'm really flattered. (I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, because I'm in a bit of a physical slump at the moment with the CFS and Christmas, but I do appreciate it.)
I'm afraid you're right about the snow figures. I just hope the snow clears enough that my family can get here for Christmas!
Dear fairyhedgehog, You are very welcome for the award. Please do not feel any pressure or obligation to post it up. Please just do with the award as you see fit and take very good care of yourself. I hope your family can get to your place for Christmas. With respect, Gary :-)

Very nice, though my modeller's fingers are itching to remove a bit more snow at the base, and perhaps give a suggestion of legs...
Lexi, it wasn't easy-modelling snow: they had the head fall off at least once!

I've never heard the story about the other snow penguin . . . but I love yours. :)

I love your penguin and the story of the stolen snowman was hilarious. I wonder if his body will ever be found. LOL
Gary, thank you! And I hope you have a good Christmas.
Harry, LOL - I'm sure we'll hear if it is!
