My internet has bust. I'm borrowing a connector from my son but only for this morning. Then I'm offline until I can get a new dongle. Just so as you know.
Ooooh - dongle! I laughed out loud when I read this title, and then I laughed again when I saw what Janey said. You guys just made my day.
But I gotta tell you, if my dongle broke (I call it my USB port - sounds kinda like science fiction sex, now doesn't it??!!) - anyway - if mine broke, I'd freak, as it has my manuscript and all of my notes and changes. I have them in other places as well, but my port is my safe place, so it being broken - aaaahhhhh!!!!! Total freakout.
I was wondering if you'd see this, Robin, with us all thinking about you like that!
Mine isn't a memory card it's my wireless internet connection. I don't lose data when it dies, I just lose the internet. Just! Thankfully I've got one on permanent loan now so I should be OK.

That is an "oh dear". I hope it isn't too long.
I bet Robin is going to laugh at loud at this one!
I hope you dongle gets back to dongling its little heart out again soon xxx
Yes, "My dongle is broken" sounds a little naughty. ; )
My son has found a replacement that I can hold on to until I get a new one. What a relief!
I did think of Robin when I posted this and yes, it does sound naughty!
"What shall we do with a broken dongle?
What shall we do with a broken dongle?
What shall we do with a broken dongle, early in the morning?"
next verse somebody...
That's brilliant, Richard. I'll leave the next verse to you too!
Yes, I thought of Robin immediately when I saw this. I love Richard's song!
Oh dear - indeed.
I have an iPhone so even if my internet is down, I can still remain connected - isn't life grand!
I use a popsicle stick and some duct tape to repair my dongle when it breaks...
Sylvia, I liked Richard's song, too.
Lisa, that sounds like a good idea. I'm not paying for internet on my phone yet but I think I'll have to.
Scott, so now I know what to do!

Oh, good! Glad you're fine, FH!
Thanks, Robin.
