I'm done

Rufus helping me finish my writing this morning
I wrote 50,000 words this month. It was drivel but I'm fascinated to see where my story took me and what my preoccupations are and were. This year, I really wrote entirely for myself and some parts were great fun.

I did feel like giving up more than once though, and I owe many, many thanks to everyone on Twitter who encouraged me to keep going! Richard and jj in particular, but there were others and I thank you all!

So what did your preoccupations turn out to be, FH?

We all want to know.

WooHoo! So glad you hung in there. And yes, it's fun to look it over and see what we do when we write unfettered.

I'm proud of you!

Kitty, thank you! Yes, I would have done it differently without Rufus' help. (I'd have had fewer cuddle stops for a start!)

Simon, thank you!

Lexi, well, it's a time travel story which gave me a lot of scope! But I don't feel like I can put it all into a few words at the moment, I'm too close to it.

Sarah, thank you! There are bits of it that aren't terrible, which is all I could ask for. Now I need to edit to take it from "mostly terrible" to "mostly passable"!

jj, I couldn't have done it without all your pompoms and butt-wagging cheering me on in Twitter! Thank you!

Golden Eagle, Thank you!

Wow, prickles! That's great. November is a rotten month for me time wise, but I always thought it would be interesting to plow through to the tune of 50,000 words and see what comes out of one's head that was unsuspected.

MRp, November is a rotten month for me in a number of ways, but Nanowrimo cheers it up a bit! Although I then have the panic that I ignored Christmas and it didn't go away. And I'm still turning over aspects of what I wrote. It was worth it!
