Appearances are deceptive

Rufus being loveable
I came downstairs this morning to find a dead mouse on the doormat. The inside doormat. That's inside a house where the cats are shut in at night so all doors, windows and catflaps are closed.

I can only think that little darling Rufus brought it in yesterday and hid it somewhere. Possibly still alive. *shudders*

Cats. Don't you just love them?

Such a sweetie

I am such a cat person! I have 3 (used to be 4, I lost one of them recently to kidney failure).

Rufus looks so cuddly! Love his white paws and belly. :)

Jennifer, I'm sorry to hear about your recent loss.

Rufus is very cuddly - up to the moment when he's had enough and he bites to let you know!

Well, lets hope Rufus brought it in yesterday....
Then again mice don't usually set up home where a cat is in residence.

Aww isn't he a cutie! Could do without the mouse on the mat though.

Scarlet, I'm kind of banking on that!

Ann, that's it exactly. Now try telling him that!

Kitty, you're right. I love cats and I feel sorry for mice but can't have it both ways.

Are you sure Rufus didn't catch the mouse indoors? Don't know about where you are, but London is full of mice these days. I caught one in my workshop last week.

Lexi, I hope not, I really do!

All that fur hides a demonic monster capable of tearing the universe apart with a glance.

Whirl, you've certainly got his measure!

Cold-blooded killers, the lot of them! Well, ours is, anyway ...

Simon, sadly so! It's a good job they're cute...

When he looks as though he's dozing off, he's really wondering what you taste like...

It's spooky how you can read his mind, Richard!

FH - Have you ever tried writing from a cat's point of view of what goes on around the house?

It might be an interesting exercise to help you wind down from the madness that is nano?

Richard, that sounds like a fun idea! I'm still turning what I wrote around in my mind, though. There are bits of the November mishmash that I rather like!
