October challenges

  dbdbrobot
I've got two writing challenges for you for next month, thanks to a Twitter pal. (If it was you who tweeted these then let me know and I'll credit you. I relied on my memory which was clearly a silly thing to do.)

The 750 words one month challenge
You have to write 750 words  a day (not a month) for a whole month. If it was 750 words a month I might manage it. (link)

100 words
Write exactly 100 words a day for a month. (link)

I'm not sure which would be harder: writing an exact number of words would be challenging. Anyway, if you accept either of those missions, it should keep you busy till Halloween!

If you use Twitter a lot, I think the 100 words might be easier for you. You're already used to restricting to under 140 characters and I find myself often using *exactly* 140, altering words as much as possible to make it all fit. 100 words is obviously more, but it's still about restriction and writing very precisely.

Kitty, I get the impression you're already writing quite a lot!

Jessi, writing to 140 characters does get to be a habit. Maybe it would be the same with the 100 words.

Pfft, The Koala challenge offers plenty discipline!

McK, the Koala challenge is the scariest one I know of!

Yes, I do agree that writing exactly 100 words would be a challenge - and frustrating if you got into the flow, only to have to stop. The 750 one sounds interesting though!

Simon, you manage 140 characters, although I suppose it's hard to get into the flow in such a short story! I'll be interested to know if you do the 750 one.
