Small steps toward great progress.
Unfortunately, the courts can only affect discrimination, not bigotry. The big question is whether the federal appeals court will overturn this ruling in favor of saying marriage is decided by the states. I wait to see the outcome and hope the appeals court will uphold the ruling. After that, I believe the Supreme Court would hear the case. I would hope that they agree that equal protection at the federal level trumps a state's right to determine marriage. If justice is their aim, they will have to see it that way.
Yay for that!
